The Essex BIG Business Boost competition has a new award for 2016 to celebrate entrepreneurs with a disability.
Essex County Council’s (ECC) Essex Innovation Programme and ECC’s Employment and Skills Unit have this year teamed up to deliver the ‘Disability Entrepreneur Award’ to celebrate the diversity of entrepreneurship flourishing in Essex.
We are looking for business owners who can inspire others to believe that they too can achieve in business, even in challenging circumstances.
The Disability Entrepreneur Award celebrates entrepreneurs with a great, viable and sustainable business or business idea who have the ability to succeed in business whilst overcoming barriers.
Two winners of the Disability Entrepreneur Award will take home a cash boost of £2,000 each, plus a free business support package.

The Disability Entrepreneur Award
The award is for individuals with a disability (physical, sensory, learning disability or difficulty, autism and mental health) with a commercially sustainable business or business idea.
